Red Velvet Cake
1/4Ā cupĀ unsalted butter
1/4Ā cupĀ vegetable oil
3/4Ā cupĀ granulated sugar
1Ā large egg
1Ā tspĀ vanilla extract
14Ā gramsĀ red gel food coloring (1 tbsp)
1 1/3Ā cupĀ all-purpose flour
2Ā tbspĀ cocoa powder
1/2Ā tspĀ baking soda
1/4Ā tspĀ salt
2/3Ā cupĀ buttermilk
Vanilla Cake
8 tbsp unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/3 cup sour cream
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
Cream Cheese Glaze
1/2 cup cream cheese
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3 tbsp milk or more to adjust consistency
1 tsp vanilla extract
Hereās how to make the mini loaf cakes with the heart in the center.
First make the red velvet cake, mix butter, sugar, and oil, I was out of oil so I used olive oil instead. Add egg vanilla and red food coloring.
Add flour cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
Add the buttermilk and mix to combine.
Spread the batter in a jelly roll pan and bake at 350 for about 20 minutes.
