It’s been a little bit since the last upate. It's hard to write these—trying not to get overwhelmed, but it’s tough.
A recent CT scan revealed that while the tumors in Elias' lungs continue to grow, they have increased by less than a centimeter over the past three months. We are now in month eight. The doctors continue to prepare us for the possibility of rapid progression, we are embracing each day with gratitude cherishing every moment and holding onto hope for a miracle.
Elias has experienced significant weight loss—over 80 pounds—due to persistent nausea and vomiting. As a result, he had to be fitted for a new back brace. While the tumor in his spine remains stable, the compression fracture it caused continues to bring discomfort. Drs have insisted that Elias wear the brace at all times to protect his spine, but the brace is rigid and uncomfortable.
