Hatch Café opened this summer at riverviewparkandzoo, and it fits naturally into a space that’s already been made safer for birds. In 2024, glass at the Zoo was treated with Feather Friendly markers to prevent bird collisions.
The windows at Hatch were also treated by Zachary Steele kawarthabirdco of birdfriendlyptbokl , reinforcing the Zoo’s commitment to bird safety.
This project continues a strong partnership. As one of the founding members of Bird Friendly Peterborough, the Zoo has been steadily expanding its conservation efforts in ways that reach visitors where they are.
