Wolff called the duo Mercedes’ “absolute priority” and stated there were no surprises in store, showing full commitment to developing their future lineup internally rather than pursuing a dramatic signing.
At the same time, Max Verstappen’s exit clause for the 2025 season has officially expired. The clause would have allowed him to leave Red Bull mid contract if he fell outside the top three in the standings by a certain point in the season, an event that never occurred. With Verstappen currently third in the championship, he remains contractually bound to Red Bull through at least the end of 2025, with no active clauses allowing for early departure.
