Tensions between Cambodia and Thailand have boiled over and the two sides have exchanged fire, which has killed at least 11 civilians.⁣ ⁣ Both sides have accused each other of instigating the clashes causing diplomatic relations to fall to their lowest level in over a decade.⁣ ⁣ Phumtham Wechayachai, Thailand's acting Prime Minister has said that ‘Cambodia fired heavy weapons into Thailand without specific targets so civilians were killed.’⁣ ⁣ Whilst Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Manet said his country has always maintained a position of peaceful resolution of problems, but ‘we have no choice but to respond with armed force against armed aggression.’⁣ ⁣ #thailand #cambodia #conflict
