No one warned me that baby no. 2 would announce itself… at 7 Weeks 😂 Wearing spandex for a living, my body is under a lot of eyeballs, every single day. Growing up as a dancer and performing artist, I was used to this, I signed up for it, I knew the deal. But I never imagined how it would feel once I lost control of my faculties. As dancers, we are taught to have ultimate control over how our bodies look, move, and perform. It’s an epic mind shift to release into motherhood, where you have so much less control of your body…. And all things. As much as it’s a beautiful and happy moment in life, let’s not pretend it’s not HARD AF. Two things can be true. Those lingering perfectionist tendencies are difficult to get past. I am learning to embrace this new stage of life - and beyond that, live it loudly.
