The ocean is vast and unpredictable, but with your pod beside you, anything feels possible. Orcas travel in matriarch-led groups, where a lead female passes down foraging strategies, distinctive calls, and migratory knowledge. These pods keep calves safe, improve hunting, and preserve shared wisdom, helping orcas thrive. Today, orcas and their marine ecosystems face threats from deep-sea mining, plastic pollution, overfishing, and the accelerating consequences of a warming planet. But even in the face of daunting challenges, we’ve seen what’s possible when people come together. Years ago, when our co-founders photographed Norway’s Arctic pods, they joined scientists and local groups to keep oil drilling out of the fragile ecosystem. After weeks of campaigning, and with your help, we finally succeeded. Just like orcas, we are strongest and most resilient when we stick together. We overcame the odds then, and together we can do it again. Image by PaulNicklen #Orca #Norway #Conservati...
