Donald Trump called the mayor of London "a nasty person" as he met with the UK prime minister.
The US president was speaking at a press conference in Scotland, where he's on a four-day informal summer visit.
He added that he thought London's mayor has "done a terrible job" but that he would "certainly" visit London.
In response, a spokesperson for London Mayor Sadiq Khan said he was "delighted that President Trump wants to come to the greatest city in the world".
"He'd see how our diversity makes us stronger not weaker; richer, not poorer," the spokesperson added.
"Perhaps these are the reasons why a record number of Americans have applied for British citizenship under his presidency."
Trump's comment comes after a previous spat with London's mayor.
