A common complaint I hear from amateur golfers is being super confused with how their backswing should look. What should they do with the club and their body? π€

To make it simple, follow these three steps:
1οΈβ£ Extend the trail wrist (clubface should be approximately parallel to spine angle)
2οΈβ£ Add some hip & torso rotation
3οΈβ£ Fold the trail arm slightly
Yes - this looks very βinsideβ - which I am not the biggest fan of. However, when done all together, it looks much more neutral.

β οΈ Of course, there are golfers that play great golf with a much different backswing than this.
This is just a SIMPLE way for beginner golfers to add more horizontal components and less vertical components to help the golfer swing more from the inside β
This drill is only for you if you want to keep it simple and favor a draw pattern ποΈββοΈ
And yes, I know it looks a little funny, but when you blend each step together it looks really nice!...
