If I had a dollar for every time Rubens Barrichello had won a Grand Prix disrupted by a man trespassing on track, I'd have two dollars, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice. 🤔   Despite starting 18th at the 2000 German Grand Prix, Barrichello took advantage of a light fuel load to end up tenth after the first lap, and fifth by the halfway point but with little answer for the dominant McLarens ahead. As a former Mercedes employee entered the track and brought out the Safety Car, Barrichello pitted for fuel to the end - and during a later downpour in the stadium section, he crucially, audaciously stayed out on dry tyres as those around him blinked and pitted for wets (or went off, or crashed 💥).   Rubens Barrichello took his first F1 win On This Day 25 years ago, sobbing on the podium as he became the first Brazilian winner since his mentor and hero Ayrton Senna.
