not everyone with depression looks sad…
sometimes it looks like canceling plans again, zoning out mid-conversation, or spending hours trying to feel “normal.”
a lot of the time, it’s stuff people never even see….
this post is for the people who are suffering silently….
the ones who feel like they should be okay, but can’t explain why they’re not.
who think they’re just lazy or falling behind but are actually carrying something really heavy….
if you relate to any of this, please know: you’re not broken. you’re not alone. and you’re not a bad person for struggling. ❤️
depression can make the smallest things feel impossible. and when that happens, your only job is to keep showing up in whatever way you can. that’s enough.
and if you’ve got someone in your life who’s been distant lately… maybe check in. no pressure, no fix-it speech, just a “thinking of you” can go a long way.
