Is it cake? When you're making dessert on the International Space Station, you have to get a bit creative—especially when you're looking to celebrate your friends and coworkers. As Astro_Ayers said in a recent Instagram post, "We use cinnamon buns, muffin tops, pudding, fruit, and other things we can find in the pantry to make [our cakes] special and delicious. Sometimes we get frosting as well and then we get to decorate them 🙂" In this photo, taken on June 13, Astro_Annimal holds a hamburger-shaped cake that the ISS crew put together to celebrate astronaut Takuya Onishi, of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, on his 200th day in space. (Onishi first visited the station as a flight engineer in 2016.)
