LOBA 2025 Shortlist – Jodi Windvogel “Life Under Occupation – Cissie Gool House”⁣ ⁣⁣ South African photographer Jodi Windvogel documents the years-long occupation of Cissie Gool House, a former hospital in Cape Town that was taken over in 2017 by the housing movement Reclaim the City.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The building became a home for more than 2,000 people and a space of collective organisation against exclusionary urban planning rooted in apartheid-era policies.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Windvogel’s series captures daily routines, shared spaces, and the formation of a self-organised community between 2017 and 2023.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The occupation ended with a forced eviction last year.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 📷: jodiwindvogel⁣ ⁣⁣ #Leica #LeicaCamera #🔴📷 #LOBA2025
