RIP Sinead O’connor. When her debut album The Lion and the Cobra came out everyone was blown away. I believe her first show in SF was April 1988 at The Stone on Broadway. that’s where the early live shots of her are from. The Black and white portrait was from a press conference earlier that day at the Phoenix Hotel. The portraits with blue headscarf were from 1990 Gathering of the Tribes Festival and the others in 1993 and 1995. She of course became most controversial when she tore up a photo of the Pope on Saturday Night Live!! Isn’t that what Rock and Roll is supposed to do!!
