August of 2022 I made this cover/mashup and put a video of it online. At the time NO ONE listened to this project but one day on a manhattan bound subway I saw what I assumed was intended to be a snarky comment on a post for the song that said “sounds like Bob Belcher”. It was a good laugh so I reposted it with the tag “Bob- core”. In that moment bobcore was born. The post went viral and since then we’ve had the pleasure of touring the US and meeting so many of you that have connected with the music. Now we are about to go on our largest headlining tour yet, visiting the UK and EU as well as returning to several US cities this fall. For a project that is strictly DIY I can’t help but feel an immense amount of gratitude and accomplishment for how far it’s come.
