Just hours after journalist Ahmad Noorani published an exposé on alleged corruption in #Pakistan’s military, armed men raided his family’s home. His two brothers were abducted and their whereabouts remain unknown. Noorani also faces charges under Pakistan’s cybercrime law, PECA, which #TrialWatch has found to be frequently used to punish journalists for doing their jobs. While two separate filings allege misconduct on social media, Noorani believes they were an effort to dissuade him from publishing his investigation into the military.
