⛔ STOP playing games like King of the Ring where children have to sit out for large parts of the session. If you’re a grassroots coach, chances are you have around one hour with the children every week. When you play games like King of the Ring, kids who get eliminated might end up sitting and watching for five minutes or more. If you play a couple of rounds, that can add up to ten minutes of your 60-minute session where children are inactive. If you do include elimination games, try offering kids a chance to ‘buy back’ into the game by completing a quick challenge. For example, 10 toe taps or 5 keepy-ups. This keeps them moving, even when they are out, and helps them get back into the game sooner. Remember, in grassroots coaching, every minute counts. Keeping all kids engaged and moving is key to fun and development. 🟡 🔵 ⚪️ #FootballFunFactory #CoachJonnyFFF #Football #FunFootball #FootballFun #Grassroots #GrassrootsFootball #Coaching #GrassrootsCoaching #Soccer #SoccerCoach #Soccer...
