Thursday, U.S Representative Terri Sewell announced that the Appalachian Regional Commission has awarded a grant to the city of Moundville. The town will be able to replace 50 year old water lines, get ride of lead joints, and add fire hydrants along the market place from the intersection of Highway 69 to Clamont Drive. The $800,000 grant is in addition to the $500,000 grant awarded to Moundville in January, 2025.
