Every member of our department undergoes active assailant training designed to replicate the chaos and urgency of real-life attacks. Because when lives are on the line, hesitation is not an option. Our Training Unit recently worked alongside the Melbourne Airport and its Police Department to push our officers through complex scenarios in an unfamiliar setting. The layout and challenges of an airport demand sharp decision-making under pressure—similar to what officers may face in schools and other large facilities.
