Frank's RedHot is America’s No. 1 hot sauce brand, leading the $1.1 billion US hot sauce market. Every year, the company churns out 20 million gallons of hot sauce, or about 130,000 gallons a day.
McCormick & Company bought Frank's in a $4.2 billion deal in 2017. Unique processes like the "slick test” keep every batch consistent as high-speed bottling lines cap 100 bottles every minute. We visited its 50-acre factory in Springfield, Missouri, to see how the company transforms cayenne peppers from Mexico into an iconic condiment. We also uncover how Frank's RedHot outsells Cholula, Tabasco, and other brands as hundreds of craft competitors swarm the market.
