the perfect burger - no grill needed
inspired by our bāng bar burger, this teriyaki chicken burger is sweet, savory, spicy, and stacked with flavor thanks to soy sauce + chili crunch in both sauces.
what you’ll need:
– ⅓ cup + 1 tsp momofuku soy sauce
– 2 tbsp honey
– ½ tsp ground ginger
– 1 clove garlic, grated
– 2 tsp momofuku chili crunch
– 1 greek yogurt cup (5.3 oz)
– 1 tsp momofuku rice vinegar
– 1 lb ground chicken
– 1 cup cabbage, thinly sliced
– 4 buns
how to make it:
1. mix soy sauce, honey, ginger, garlic + chili crunch for teriyaki sauce.
2. mix greek yogurt, soy sauce, chili crunch + rice vinegar for white sauce.
3. stir 3 tbsp teriyaki into ground chicken, form 4 patties.
4. cook in hot skillet, flatten with spatula, brush with teriyaki sauce as they cook.
5. to build: white sauce on bottom bun → burger → cabbage → extra teriyaki → top bun.
