The foofighters just dropped a new song this morning called “Today’s Song,” which comes almost 30 years to the day since the band’s self-titled debut on July 4, 1995! Hear brand new #FooFighters every hour today on KROQ - tune in or stream #kroq on the audacy app This marks their first new original music since 2023’s ‘But Here We Are’ album that followed the death of longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins. The band has recently been sharing old content leading up to the 30th anniversary and just a few days ago released a cover of Minor Threat’s “I Don’t Wanna Hear It,” which had instrumentals recorded in 1995 and vocals done in 2025. No word yet on who played drums on the track since their most recent member Josh Freese announced in May that he is no longer in the band. The Foo Fighters are playing some overseas shows in October and Mexico City’s Corona Capital Fest in November with no other dates announced at this time.
