The WNBA is cracking down after a string of incidents involving sex toys being thrown onto the court during games over the past two weeks. In a statement Friday, the league stressed that “the safety of everyone in our arenas remains a top priority” and confirmed they are working with local and federal law enforcement to pursue “arrest and prosecution with felony charges where applicable” against anyone involved in what they called “reckless and unacceptable behavior.” Since July 29, there have been at least seven known incidents — four of which reached the court during live play — with the latest happening during Thursday’s Chicago Sky vs. Atlanta Dream matchup.
