Jacksonville Jaguars’ Cam Little made jaws drop on Saturday as he nailed a 70-year field goal for the unofficial longest field goal in NFL history.
“Can’t lie, there was probably a little bit of doubt,” Little said with a smile. “I really wanted to just go out there and see what it could do.” The 21-year-old was surrounded by wild celebrations from his teammates and told media after the game that although he doesn’t usually celebrate successful free kicks, this one was different .
Had the feat occurred during the regular season, it would’ve smashed the NFL record by four yards. The official record remains with Justin Tucker, who kicked a 66-yarder in 2021.
