Our Welcome Baby program couldn’t run without the hard work of Mia, a Vista under Americorp❤️ Mia is excellent at connecting with others and building relationships with the families she works with (& her coworkers in the office, of course). One of her favorite things is going to outreach events and seeing the kids get excited about the toys and candy she brings for them! Mia loves her community and learning more about them. Serving Utah County and informing people about the help Welcome Baby offers is so rewarding! One of her favorite memories so far at United Way is “when I used to work for Summer Learning at the South Franklin Community Center. I spent a whole month teaching and making friends with the kids. I did that for 2 summers. I really consider myself to be really good friends with the kids. Some of the girls would come up to me and say, ‘Mia, you really are my best friend and I’m going to miss you a lot.
