Let’s be honest, “community” is trending.
But the way capitalism is commodifying our deepest needs, especially our need for safety has become next-level.
In a post-pandemic world, we’re more isolated, burnt out, and exhausted than ever. And instead of creating systems of support, many brands just created more ways to sell us stuff in the name of connection.
As Black women, we’ve always built community from scratch. We know what it looks like when it’s real.
🖤 It’s mutual aid.
🖤 It’s deepening conversations
🖤 It’s radical access against exclusivity.
🖤And it’s centering the need of the many over the few.
We’re not here to capitalize, we’re here to co-create. That’s why we’ve built a nonprofit that weaves communal resources into all of our operations, events, funding, and business development.
We want to hear from you 🫵🏾
