Dig For A Day - Trip Winner! The coolest activity ever! We headed to Beit Guvrin National Park to @archaeological_seminars Dig For A Day. We expected this to be a top destination for us but what we didn’t expect was just how cool it would be - at every step. If you are going to Israel - or live in Israel - YOU MUST GO HERE. You are literally digging in an actual archaeological site from the time of Chanukah in one of 10K caves they found in this park. First you learn about the history under your feet. Next, you go down to a cave and start digging. We found bones, pottery, stove tiles, and even the top of a jug with the handle still attached! (No you can’t keep them) We filled up buckets of dirt and “treasure” and carried them up and out of the cave. Then, in teams of 3 we poured the buckets of out and sifted through the dirt to make sure we didn’t miss anything.
