What Are You Doing To Help The World This Season? I was so excited and lucky to drop off some of Popular Book Company’s “365 Days Of Fun” books to my new favorite non-profit The Book Fairies yesterday. It’s one thing to work with a great educational workbook company, it’s another thing when they ask how to best get their colorful fun books into the hands of those who need them the most. @thebookfairiesny welcomed us with open arms. Learning about their mission was so humbling. Not only do they distribute reading materials (both educational and simply reading for pleasure) to those in need throughout Long Island and the New York Metro area, but they put these books into educators’ hands and people who will make sure the books are used properly. Shockingly, they told me that 1 in 4 Americans are illiterate. This means people can’t fill out job applications or complete the paperwork to get the resources they need. That REALLY hit me.
