In a heartwarming reminder that good people still walk among us, a local resident went above and beyond last week to return a lost wallet. A woman in her 60s found a wallet in a Stevenson Ranch parking lot that contained a man’s identification, credit cards, and cash. With no personal transportation, she didn’t let the inconvenience stop her. Instead, she used the local bus system to travel across town and then made the uphill walk from the nearest stop to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. With the wallet in hand, she explained to station personnel, “I know that’s what I would want someone to do if they ever found my wallet.” Earlier that morning, the wallet’s owner had called the station to report it missing. He was promptly notified that it had been turned in and was able to pick it up shortly after and was extremely grateful to be reunited with it intact. Have a great day SCV, stay safe! #LASD #SCV
