At SCV Sheriff's Station, public safety is always our top priority - not just for residents, but also for those visiting our community.
On Saturday afternoon, deputies responded to the area of Magic Mountain Parkway and The Old Road, Valencia following a report that a man visiting from Nevada had momentarily left a bag unattended. The bag contained cell phones and wallets. A woman allegedly seized the opportunity to take the bag and fled the area.
Deputies quickly arrived on scene and located the suspect in a nearby parking lot. She was detained and found to be in possession of the victim's belongings, along with several other credit cards and driver’s licenses that did not belong to her. Some of the stolen credit cards had already been used to make purchases at local stores.
Additionally, the suspect was found with burglary tools and drug paraphernalia in her possession.
