The Walgreens pharmacy located at 2310 Telegraph Ave. permanently closed Tuesday, while the rest of the store will remain open. Earlier this year, fast food fried chicken chain Raising Cane’s purchased the property located at 2310 Telegraph Ave. for $12.7 million, and anticipates opening a restaurant location in late 2027, according to a Raising Cane’s representative. The pharmacy closure is part of Walgreens’ store optimization plan, first announced by CEO Tim Wentworth in October 2024, that plans to close 1,200 Walgreens locations nationwide, according to Jennifer Cotto, a Walgreens spokesperson.
