Last week, Merlin jumped off my hand, ran into the closet where my rats used to live, and squeezed into the wall through a hole in the carpet by the baseboard where my rats had dug up the carpet. My brother and I managed to get him out by cutting a variety of holes through the drywall, and using an endoscope to find him, but let me tell you that was a terrifying hour. There is SO much space behind the wall. For a while I thought he was gone forever. I also had a trip to Florida the next day I was about to cancel.
