Alozie calls the game. 🤯
Houston’s Michelle Alozie scored in stoppage time to secure a 2–1 win for the Dash over Gotham FC on Sunday. 🔥
Gotham’s Esther González scored in t he 8th minute, burying her 11th goal of the season from close range to take the lead in the match and in the race for the NWSL Golden Boot. 💪
The match experienced more than a two-hour delay in the second half due to thunderstorms near Sports Illustrated Stadium but when play resumed, the Dash pulled even in the 51st minute after a defensive miscue – Emily Sonnett’s back pass to goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger rolled out of reach and into the net for an own goal. 👀
With only two shots all game, the Dash made the last one count – Alozie netted her first of the season in stoppage time to seal the dramatic W. 👏
There’s just something about a stoppage-time stunner. 🤌
