Awareness of the bird-glass collision issue is growing worldwide, and rightly so, since avian species worldwide are more at risk than we once thought. We at Feather Friendly are stepping up efforts to make every pane of glass a safer place for birds. To support our mission, we’ve created a new Strategic Avian Conservation Partner role, designed to work with local leaders who can champion bird-safe design and make a real difference in their communities. We’re thrilled to welcome Anouk Hoedeman as the very first to take on this role for the Netherlands. Anouk is a respected bird conservation consultant and co-founder of Safe Wings Ottawa, where she helped push through important bird-safe policies in Canada. Now living in the Netherlands, she’s continuing that work by bringing her passion and know-how to help protect birds from collisions across her region. With Anouk leading the charge in the Netherlands, we’re excited about what’s ahead, and how many more birds we can save together....
