Beauty queens, @Patrick Ta Beauty reformulated their highlighters and I have some thoughts…when these first launched in 2024, the texture was a big topic. It was soft and mushy, not what you’d expect from a highlighter. There was 100% something wrong with the base. Fast forward just a year and now they’ve been reformulated. And it makes me wonder: should that first version have been pulled from shelves right away if the formula wasn’t ready? Why not discuss what happened last year when re-releasing? What about the people who spent their money on that original batch, are they just left with a product that doesn’t reflect the brand’s quality standards? When a product gets a reformulation like this, does it build trust because the brand fixed it or does it hurt trust because it feels like customers were misled?
