Set to open in 2028, the new Osten-Victor Playhouse will be a state-of-the-art, 1,000-seat venue and the centrepiece of Arts Commons’ $660M transformation. The new space was named after Calgary philanthropists Al Osten and the late Buddy Victor for their $12M donation, and can transform from traditional theatre seating to an open, flat-floor space at the push of a button. 🎭️ It will fill a gap between the city’s existing mid-size and large performance spaces. Part of the largest arts infrastructure project in Canada, the expansion will also revitalize Olympic Plaza and modernize the existing Arts Commons. #YYCNow DM to be featured on yycnow 📲
