🍂 With Fall in the air comes warm, comforting scents. Browsing through Anthropologie, I stumbled upon a Golden Maple Pumpkin candle that smelled like everything I imagine Fall to be.
Inspired by this candle, I wanted to create a dessert that captured its scent in a way that you could actually taste. Resulting in these Maple Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls. This turned the candle into a golden, gooey, pillowy-soft dessert.
🎃 Here’s what you need to try this at home:
Dough
1/2 cup warm milk ~110°F
2 1/4 tsp active yeast
115 grams pumpkin puree (not filling)
450 grams all-purpose flour
65 grams granulated sugar
2 tsp pumpkin spice
1 egg
3 tbsp butter (softened)
Filling:
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp pumpkin spice
1 tbsp cinnamon
4 tbsp butter (melted)
Maple Cream Frosting:
8 oz cream cheese
8 oz mascarpone cheese
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 tbsp maple extract (optional)
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
1 tsp cinnamon
