Ingredients
12 oz. Spaghetti
12 oz. Cherry Tomatoes halved
14 oz. Canned Cherry tomatoes
4-6 Garlic Cloves Thinly Sliced
8-10 Fresh Basil Leaves torn
Splash of Dry White Wine
Pasta Water
1 Tbsp Butter
Olive Oil
Pinch of Red pepper flakes
Salt and Pepper
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
In a large skillet add olive oil. On medium low heat add garlic. Fry the garlic for 1-2 minutes. Add red pepper flakes. Add freshly torn basil. Fry for an additional 1-2 minutes until oil is very fragrant. Add cherry tomatoes. Stir. Season with salt and pepper. Add Canned Cherry Tomatoes, bring sauce to a simmer. Add a splash of dry white wine. Simmer for 10-15 minutes. Add al dente spaghetti. Stir and add pasta water. Continue to toss until sauce is glossy. Finish with a knob of butter.
