๐Ÿ’ฆ Rolls-Royce submerged a Phantom in a swimming pool to celebrate the modelโ€™s 100th anniversary. The stunt was inspired by the legendary story of The Who drummer Keith Moon allegedly driving a Phantom into a pool in the 1970s. The event took place at the historic Tinside Lido in Plymouth, an Art Deco pool also tied to Beatles history. Instead of using a new car, Rolls-Royce chose a retired extended-wheelbase Phantom prototype destined for recycling. A crane lowered the car onto a submerged platform so the water rose just above the wheels, creating a dramatic but controlled scene. The spectacle was staged as an homage to rock-n-roll excess and the Phantomโ€™s ties to music icons from John Lennon to Snoop Dogg.
