Good Morning, Friends! When Taavi's mom didn’t naturally take to being a new parent, animal care specialists at Metro Richmond Zoo stepped up to hand-raise this precious Orangutan baby. Much like a human infant, he requires constant, round-the-clock care and supervision. In the wild, baby Orangutans like Taavi will spend the first six to eight months of life clinging to mom.
