It was almost a dream day for ethanvernon00 at lavuelta. On his 25th birthday, the British rider sprinted to fourth on stage 4 as the race’s foreign start came to a close in Voiron, France. After finishing second in Saturday’s opening stage, today’s result marked Vernon’s 12th top-10 finish in road races this season. It could have been better had he not been boxed in approaching the finish, having positioned himself in Jasper Philipsen’s wheel. “Yeah, it was frustrating,” he says. “The guys did a good job all day riding, and then a few things went wrong in the final, but yeah, it’s racing. It makes it more annoying knowing I had the legs. I know I’m fast enough to win, and then when you don’t, it’s frustrating.” 📷 sprintcycling + noa_toledo_arnonphoto 🇪🇸 #LaVuelta25 #YallaIPT #FactorRacing
