I’ve been doing a lot of reflection these last 2 weeks post-op from ACL/meniscus reconstruction surgery. To be real…it’s been the most challenging 14 days I’ve ever faced—physically, but even more so mentally.
I’ve struggled. I’ve cried. I’ve questioned. But I’ve also celebrated the tiniest victories—like being able to do my first leg lift again. Those little wins remind me how easy it is to overlook the simple yet amazing things that our bodies can do for us on a daily basis, and how grateful I am now for the ability to simply move.
To anyone else going through an injury, surgery, or tough season: you’re not alone. The road is long, and some days feel impossible, but healing happens in the small steps forward. Celebrate those little milestones, lean on the people who love you, and give yourself grace on the hard days.
This process has forced me to slow down, appreciate my body, and truly respect the way God designed it to heal and rebuild. It’s not easy…but...
