Good morning!!! It doesn’t get much better than a sweet little mug hand pie! ☕️🍫 The buttery pie crust is packed full of chocolate hazelnut spread!!
To make:
Make a paper template in your desired shape. Or purchase a cookie cutter in that shape. I chose a coffee mug. Use either a store bought double pie crust or your favorite homemade recipe. Roll the pie crusts to 1/4 inch thick. Use the template/cutter to make an equal number of identical shapes. You’ll need at least one for the bottom of the hand pie and one for the top. Spread your desired filling (I used chocolate hazelnut spread) to the bottom pie crust leaving a 1/4 -1/2 inch border. To the border add an egg wash (beaten egg and a splash of heavy cream) evenly. Place the top crust over the bottom/filling evenly. Crimp the edges using a fork or spoon. Cut vents in the top crust. Glaze the entire pie with your egg wash. Bake at 425°F until golden brown!
