The City of Santa Clarita invites the community to attend the Evening of Remembrance tonight, Wednesday, August 27, at Central Park (27150 Bouquet Canyon Road, Santa Clarita). This annual event honors local youth who lost their lives in traffic-related incidents and serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of safe and responsible driving. The evening begins with a Walk of Remembrance at 7:15 p.m., led by Captain Brandon Barclay of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, followed by a ceremony at the Youth Grove. The event will include remarks from Mayor Bill Miranda, special performances, and the reading of the names of 123 young individuals memorialized at the Youth Grove. The Youth Grove features 123 tree-stump-shaped pillars, each representing a life lost too soon. It stands as a reminder to “Know More” about safe driving and to help ensure “No More” lives are lost on the road. We invite you to join us for this meaningful evening of reflection and remembrance. #LASD #...
