If you never had Korean style grilled short ribs, you’re missing out. It’s the perfect meat snack, great for tailgating too!
The key is the marinade and Asian pears. They help get the meat super tender. If you can’t find Asian pears, you can use kiwi fruit instead.
Mix the following:
- 2 Asian Pears
- ½ white onion
- 3 green onions
- 5 cloves of garlic
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup trybachans Honey Sauce
- ½ cup orange juice
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
Pour this mixture over the ribs and marinate for a few hours, ideally overnight.
When ready, grill over medium/high direct heat. You want hot, but not scorching hot where they will burn. I grilled these in my webergrills kettle over kingsford Low & Slow briquettes. These will cook super fast, 2-3 minutes per side, just long enough to char the outside.
Remove from the grill, separate, garnish with green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
