🍣 Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice using store bought sushi, is the best hack you’ll learn all week! Just get yourself a pack of salmon nigiri or tuna nigiri, and you can make this crispy rice in under 30 minutes! 🍣 Sushi 1 pack Tuna Nigiri (about 8 pieces) 2 tbsp eel sauce (recipe below) 1/2 tbsp mayo 1/2 tbsp sriracha Drizzle of sesame oil Thinly sliced avocado Garnish of choice (I used sesame seeds and cilantro) Oil for frying 🍶Eel Sauce 1/4 cup tamari 1/4 cup mirin 2 tbsp sugar Make the eel sauce by adding the tamari, mirin, and sugar to a small pan. Bring to a simmer, and whisk until the sugars dissolve. Then let the sauce simmer until reduced by half. Set aside and let it cool. Remove the tuna from the rice, and roughly chop. Then transfer it to a bowl with the mayo, sriracha, sesame oil, and 2 tbsp of the cooled eel sauce. Mix until combined, then set aside in the fridge. The rice should already have a descent shape.
