🍋 Part 2: Limoncello | if you’ve been following along, you probably have some alcohol sitting in your cabinet with a whole bunch of lemon peels. So congratulations, because you have patience and now I’m going to show you how to finish your limoncello.
Follow along for Part 3, where I’ll share my favorite Limoncello Spritz!
All you need is:
-750ml alcohol infused with lemon
-3 cups water
-3 cups sugar
In a small saucepan, add the water and sugar. Heat over medium-low heat, and bring to a simmer. Whisk until the sugars are fully dissolved into the water. Then remove from the heat and set aside to cool.
Strain the infused alcohol through a fine mesh strainer lined with cheese cloth, and discard the lemon peels.
Once the simple syrup cooled, whisk it into the lemon infused alcohol. Then taste and adjust sugar if needed. Then bottle the limoncello, and store it in your fridge or freezer.
You’ll get about 1.5 liters of limoncello.
