🐰 Lent Ep: 6: Baked Halibut with a Fresh Bean Salad | honestly, I had no clue what to call this dish. But who really cares when it taste this good!
Perfectly seasoned Halibut, baked to perfection, with a refreshing bean salad… this fish came together in 30 minutes!
🐟 Halibut
1lb halibut filet
1 tsp ground sumac
1/2 tsp fennel pollen
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
Lemon, for serving
EVOO
🫘 Bean Salad
2 (15oz) cans cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
1/4 cup parsley, finely chopped
1 shallot, diced
1/3 cup roasted red peppers
1/3 cup castateecano olives, sliced
2 tbsp capers
1 tbsp Calabrian chili paste
1 lemon, juiced
EVOO
Salt & Pepper, to taste
Mix all the halibut spices together in a bowl. Then drizzle some EVOO on the halibut, and liberally season both sides with the spice mixture. Bake at 400° for 10-15 minutes (depending on thickness), or until desired temperature is reached (I pulled it at 135°)
