🥩Cream Seared Steak! Believe it or not this isn’t some bunk engagement hack. Cream searing is a genuinely interesting technique that adds a toasty, deeply savory, caramelized color and flavor to your food. For the record, this was not my idea rather the work of ideasinfood . Sometime last year I watched as they cream seared what felt like the entire world. One cool thing is you can cream sear all sorts of stuff. Think sweet like cream seared cinnamon rolls or savory like this steak. I’ve been wanting to try it ever since, and finally made it happen when I spotted a gorgeous little bone-in NY Strip at the butcher. Oh, and those truffles are from rareteacellar . I got them a couple months ago and when they were about to go bad I decided to suspend them in Armagnac. They’ve been slowly leeching into the liquor since early June and the infused armagnac is actually insane. So pungent and earthy, but still peppery and slightly sweet. I thought it would go great in this here lil impromptu...
