Ultra-Krusty Cheeseburger Pie!…? Is this an American spanakopita? Is it a cheesy Polywhirl? It’s probably somewhere in the middle, but to me it’s more of a “long-boy tube burg”… but that’s not good for SEO. Recipe below. 🇬🇷🫱🏻‍🫲🏼🇺🇸 Serves: 6–8 Ingredients 1 pound ground beef (80/20 recommended)
1 small onion, finely diced
1/2 cup chopped dill pickles
1/4 cup burger sauce (see below)
1 cup shredded or chopped American cheese (about 5–6 slices)
Kosher Salt & Black Pep, to taste 2–3 cups shredded iceberg or romaine lettuce (for serving) Burger Sauce: 1/4 cup mayo
1 Tbsp ketchup
1 Tbsp mustard
1 Tbsp pickle juice
1 tsp garlic powder Pastry: 10–12 sheets phyllo dough, thawed
1/2 cup melted butter or neutral oil
1 Tbsp sesame seeds
